A volte può succedere che, sulle nostre Harley Davidson Sportster, si accenda per qualche secondo o rimanga accesa quell'odiosa spia arancione che ti fa partire lo smoccolamento generale: in entrambi i casi (o meglio farlo anche periodicamente) si consiglia di eseguire la procedura di diagnosi della centralina che trovate qui con i relativi codici di errone.
PROCEDURA VERIFICA CODICI ERRORE
Test Centralina:
1) girare chiave su OFF e pulsante su RUN
2) tenere premuto il tasto Reset del contaKm (per gli ultimi modelli con non lo hanno bisogna premere una delle frecce e non ricordo quale)
3) girare chiave su IGNITION e rilasciare il tasto RESET. Si accendono luci strumento e ago contaKm va a fondo scala e appare la scritta DIAG
4) premere 1 volta il tasto e appare il menù PSSPT con la prima P che lampeggia
5) ogni lettera rappresenta 1 area del modulo diagnostica e per spostarsi premere una volta il tasto RESET
P=ECM electronic control module
S=TSM/TSSM frecce e allarme
SP=ago contaKm
T=Tachimetro
6) per ottenere la lista errori per ogni lettera, tenere premuto il tasto per 5 secondi e rilasciarlo, apparirà la lista. Per dettagli premere il tasto, per resettare gli errori tenere premuto altri 5 secondi finchè appare CLEAR.

Dopo aver preso nota degli errori, eseguire il reset manualmente fare attenzione se il problema si ripresenta; considerate che se la spia dopo gli otto secondi scompare vuol dire che è solo una segnalazione di avvenuto problema che se non si ripresenta entro i successivi 50 cicli della centralina viene automaticamente resettato;mentre se ci fosse un reale problema la spia di diagnostica rimarrebbe sempre accesa.
